NAB Innovation Centre Vietnam opens new office

National Australia Bank (NAB), one of Australia’s largest private foreign investors in Vietnam, opened a new office in HCM City on Thursday to support its expanded technology workforce in Vietnam.

 

Cutting ribbon ceremony with the participation of General Director, NAB Innovation Centre Vietnam Howard Silby; Group Executive, National Australia Bank Patrick Wright; Deputy General Director, State Agency for Technology Innovation Tran Thi Hong Lan; Australian Ambassador Andrew Goledzinowski; and Australian Consul-General Sarah Hooper.

Situated in the Hallmark Building in Thu Duc City, the 8,500 sqm office will house hundreds of software developers, data scientists, digital designers, software engineers and data analysts.

Speaking at the opening event, NAB Innovation Centre Vietnam’s General Director Howard Silby said that their expansion "would help NAB continue to attract the talented innovators needed to broaden our global workforce and bring more tech talent in-house.”

Addressing the event, Australia’s Ambassador to Vietnam, Andrew Goledzinowski stressed that Australia and Vietnam have complementary interests in technology and digital transformation.

"NAB’s commitment to supporting local talent in Vietnam to pursue career opportunities in technology through this expansion is an excellent example of this commitment in practice,” he said.
