Ho Chi Minh City’s Suoi Tien Theme Park has been listed among the 12 most popular parks in the world by The Traveler Zone, an online website about traveling.

Suoi Tien has all the fun of traditional amusement parks, the site said.

The list includes the Magic Kingdom Park at Walt Disney World in the US, the Blackpool Pleasure Beach in the UK, Port Aventura in Spain, Tivoli Gardens in Denmark, Tokyo Disneyland in Japan and Ocean Park in Hong Kong.

Built in 1992 on two hectares of forest farm, Suoi Tien opened on September 2, 1995.

Suoi Tien, which literally means “divine stream,” combines Disneyland style with Buddhist themes. The park also evokes Vietnamese myths such as Son Tinh Thuy Tinh.

Situated 19km to the northeast of Ho Chi Minh City on the Hanoi Highway, the park welcomes thousands of visitors every day especially on holidays.

The park will be served by a stop on the first line of the Ho Chi Minh City Metro which is currently under construction.
