A small village in the southernmost tip of Ca Mau Province is a unique community thanks to its peace and security.

Mui Village in Dat Mui Commune, Ngoc Hien District, down the southernmost tip of Ca Mau Province, is well-known for its open houses. Almost all 300 houses in this village are built without doors. That’s because there are no thieves or burglars here.

Living open with nature and the sea on three sides, people in Mui Village have always struggled to cope with changes from the sea. Therefore, villagers are a close-knit pack, who always trust and share with one another. They are also very giving and hospitable with their guests.
