Visitors to get free entrance to Hoi An Ancient Town

The Hoi An Ancient Town will open free to visitors on December 4, as part of activities to mark the 19th anniversary of UNESCO’s recognition as a world heritage site, according to local authorities.

Director of Hoi An city Centre for Culture and Sports, Vo Phung, announced on November 28 that all visitors will have chance to enjoy the ancient cultural space and participate in activities at the Hoi An Ancient Town and Thanh Ha pottery village for free on December 4.


"The programme is part of activities to celebrate the ancient city’s 19th anniversary of UNESCO’s recognition as a world heritage site, and is expected to attract more visitors to the sites," Phung added.

At present, entrance tickets to Hoi An Ancient Town cost VND80,000 (USD3.5) for Vietnamese visitors and VND120,000 for foreign visitors.
