Hoan Kiem pedestrian streets re-opened after third suspension
Hanoi’s weekend walking area around iconic Hoan Kiem Lake and the surrounding area will be re-opened from 7 pm today, September 18.

The area had been closed since August 21, following the city’s Covid-19 infections found to have connected to the epicentre of Danang City.
Earlier this year, Hoan Kiem pedestrian streets were also suspended from February 7 to March 15 due to the first Covid-19 outbreak in Vietnam. It re-opened on May 15 after social distancing measures were removed.
Local authorities asked for the resumption of the Hoan Kiem pedestrian streets but would ensure Covid-19 prevention regulations.
