Vinh Phuc officials attend the ground breaking ceremony for a project of the cultural village model in Binh Xuyen District.

The decision has just been announced by the Vinh Phuc Provincial People's Council in their plan to develop cultural village models during the 2023-2030 period.

According to the plan, local authorities will also give financial support of VND300 million to each community tourism project that operates at least two services during five consecutive years.

Owners of old houses that have great architectural values needed for preservation will receive VND 200 million each for restoration work.

The province will also provide VND 200 million for individuals and organisations who open mini supermarkets or stores selling local specialities to tourists.

Vinh Phuc targets to develop at least 60 model cultural villages by the end of 2030, with investment of VND2.61 trillion including VND2.47 from the province's budget and the rest coming from private sources.
