High-speed boats launched to Con Dao Island
Four high-speed boats running between HCM City and Con Dao Island in Ba Ria-Vung Tau Province will be launched this year to boost tourism.
The boat will run at the speed of 30 nautical miles per hour from Bach Dang Wharf to Con Dao Island. The trip would take five hours.
Final preparations are being completed for the incoming pilot runs. It is expected to open for tourists before April 30.
The investor, Greenlines DP, is also preparing to launch high-speed boats on the Can Tho-Con Dao Island route. The travel time from Can Tho to Con Dao will be shortened to 3-3.5 hours.
This is the first high-speed boats connecting Can Tho and HCM City to Con Dao Island.
