Nha Trang prepares for long holiday
Khanh Hoa Province’s Nha Trang City is expected to receive 150,000 visitors during the five-day Reunification and Labour Day holiday between April 30 and May 1.
Tourist numbers have increased this year because of the longer holiday. Most three to five-star hotels are fully-booked. The average occupation rate during the holiday will be 90-95% at three to five-star hotels and 65-70% at two-star hotels and smaller establishments. The occupancy rate at hotels in the city centre and Doc Let, Bai Dai beaches will be over 85%.
Nha Trang will welcome a large number of tourists from China, Russia, South Korea and Malaysia as Vietnam has direct flight routes from Cam Ranh Airport. Nha Trang-Khanh Hoa is considered an attractive market with diverse products and services. Tour agencies also put a lot of effort in their promotion campaigns.
The number of domestic tourists is set to increase slightly because of the strong development from other domestic destinations. In addition, more people want to travel abroad for their holiday.
The prices of travel services are expected to increase slightly.
Khanh Hoa Province Department of Tourism will send employees to patrol and check the listed prices to prevent overcharging. On April 19, the department also issued an official document, asking businesses to follow regulations about fire safety, food hygiene and prices.
