The festival is part of the city’s a tourism campaign which marks the return of tourism services and the resumption of international tourism.
Hanoi will hold an air balloon festival, the first of its kind in the city, on March 25-27
The Colourful Hanoi hot air balloon festival will take place at Long Bien longan garden, at the foot of Vinh Tuy Bridge in Long Bien District from 8 am to 9 pm. Twenty hot air balloons representing the year 2022, including four 22 metre high level-seven hot air balloons and 18 10-metre high level-one hot air balloons, will be used.
On this occasion, the Hanoi Department of Tourism will introduce some more new tourism products, including hot air balloon tours to see Hanoi from above, the Get On Hanoi - Night of Dreams tour which is is a sparkling night with 22 hot air balloons silhouetted against the Red River.
The balloons for the festival will be piloted by members of the Vietnamese Balloon Club.
