Flowers are arranged on the 2km bank and on boats at the flower market along Tau Hu canal in District 8, HCM City.

The market is the home to tens of thousands of ornamental trees from southern
provinces of Ben Tre and Tien Giang.

Boats carrying flowers from southwestern provinces have landed at the market for a week.
However, yellow apricot, kumquat and daisy boats will come in the next 3-4 days.

Confetti of various colours.

The banks of Tau Hu canal are bright by colourful flowers.

Chili and cockscomb pots are priced only several US dollars.

Bonsai trees are favoured by the elderly.

Yellow apricot trees are priced from tens to hundreds of US dollars.

Kumquat, the symbol of prosperity.

Customers can stand on the bank to see and choose trees. Sellers will take trees to the bank.

Customers said that many strange trees appear this year.

Besides this flower market, HCM City has other flower markets at 23/9 Park, Le Van Tam
Park and Gia Dinh Park. These markets will open in a week, from January 16 to 22.
