Vietnam wins five medals at Int’l Physics Olympiad

Vietnamese students brought home five medals from the 42 nd International Physics Olympiad that took place in Thailand from July 8-18.

The Department of Examinations and Education Quality Assessment said on July 17, Nguyen Huy Hoang, a 12 th grader from the Phan Boi Chau Gifted Senior High School in the central province of Nghe An, bagged a gold medal.

Nguyen Dinh Hoi and Hoang Le Phuong, 12 th graders from the Phan Boi Chau Gifted Senior High School in Nghe An province and the Le Quy Don Gifted Senior High School in the central city of Da Nang , respectively, secured silvers.

Meanwhile, Le Huy Quang, a 11 th grader from the Lam Son Gifted Senior High School in the central province of Thanh Hoa and Dinh Huy Hong Quan, a 12 th grader from the Gifted Senior High School of the Ho Chi Minh City National University, took bronze medals.
