According to the Ministry of Education and Training (MoET), Dong A University of Technology in the northern province of Bac Ninh and Phan Chau Trinh University in the central province of Quang Nam, have seriously violated the government’s regulations on the organisation and operation intended for private universities.

Dong A University of Technology, founded in December of 2008, has still not been able to establish any proper regulations on their organisation and operation. The management board of this university has shown a lack of unity, affecting the reputation of the education sector, local area and the university itself.

Phan Chau Trinh University has been ordered to do a complete review on its total training scheme for this year and construct a detailed plan for each semester.

In addition, Da Nang University and Hue University have been assigned to assist Phan Chau Trinh University in terms of ensuring the university’s quality of teaching. The university in question has also been asked to cooperate cordially with the two universities for the benefit of the students.

Phan Chau Trinh University had been previously allowed to enroll 510 students for the 2010 - 2011 school period.
