DTiNews has sent VND5m to help a widower in Binh Duong Province raise his three small children after his wife died giving birth to their youngest child.
Three children lost their mother
Lam Son Ut's wife, Duong Thi Quyen, knew her health was at risk but wanted to have their baby. Ut borrowed heavily to pay for her medical care after she gave birth.
Ut works as a labourer, and sent their two older children to stay with relatives, and may have to send his youngest away too so he can go back to work.
Some people offered to adopt the newly-born child but Ut refused. He said, "Money can be earned but where can I earn my children?"

DTiNews' editor-in-chief sent him VND5m, and a supply of baby formula, and many others have come forward to offer rice, milk and cash.

"I hope I won't have to part with my children. My youngest child is too small. She only has me now so I have to work harder. I'm grateful for the help of everyone," Ut said.
