Dantri/DTiNews has just sent VND10 million (USD448) in urgent support to two small brothers in the central Ha Tinh Province who have just lost their mother in the recent floods that hit the region.

DTiNews' editor-in-chief, Pham Huy Hoan issued the donation from the newspaper's charity fund to donate to nine-year-old Nguyen Dinh Quyet, and his four-year-old brother in Dai Nai Ward, Ha Tinh City.

The two small boys lost their mother on October 14 in the flash floods which swept through their house. Their father, who is a poor farmer, is facing lots of difficulties in supporting the family.

The father said he was very grateful for the timely support.

"I've lost my wife and this is a very difficult time for me and my two small sons," said the father. "But we've received lots of kind attention and support from many people since the story about our family was published on DTiNews. I want to thank you so much."
