A poor woman in the northern province of Phu Tho, who lost two children due to Haemophilia, is calling for help to save her another child from the death risk also because of this disease.

Nguyen Thi Tu in Thanh Thuy District’s Trung Thinh Commune has five children. In 2001, she lost two children, the eldest was 16 years old and the third was just four years old, due to Haemophilia.

After the death of the two sons, Tu was totally desperate. But she had to try to take care of her two other ailing children; one has been paralysed since 2003 and the other named Tran Dinh Quyet has been living with Haemophilia.

The mother said that Quyet had been facing with pains and symptoms of the disease for a long time, but due to the family’s financial difficulties, he was not taken to hospital. Until some days ago, the boy was hospitalised with bruises on his legs.

Doctors said that the disease needs long term and costly treatment; but the family, which only depends on farming, completely can’t afford this. The woman now tries to ensure daily mails for the family.

Quyet said that he had ever faced with profuse bleedings after falls; however, his parents postponed taking him to hospital due to the financial difficulties.

The mother said that now she couldn’t borrow money from any sources to pay the hospital fees; so she intended to bring his son back home to wait for the death. The survival of the boy totally depends on the community’s help.
