Ksor H’Nhot is facing with bone cancer

Three months after giving birth to the first child, she had unusual health problems. Early this year, she felt pains in her right thigh. However, due to the family’s financial difficulties, she did not go to hospital for medical checks-up.

In October last year, the pains became more serious so she was taken to Gia Lai General Hospital for the examination. Doctors there diagnosed that she contracted bone cancer. She was advised to go to hospital of higher levels for the intensive treatment, but her family couldn’t afford the fees, so she came back home. 

Recently, she realised she was pregnant. Despite being tortured by pains, she still tried to suffer and did not use medicines.

She often used a needle to prick her right leg which is now full of sores and bruises to ease the pus, but did not want to take medicines for the fear of affecting her baby.

Le Tran Huan, vice chairman of Ia Piar Commune, said that Ksor H’Nhot’s family were the poorest in the locality. Local authorities have called for the support, but this is very modest.
