DTiNews helps to build more classrooms in remote areas

Dantri/DTiNews Newspaper has helped to build two more nursery classrooms in the northern mountainous province of Yen Bai under the sponsorship of Japan’s Nagoya Taiko Lions Club.

Construction on the two classrooms, which started on March 6 at Chau Que Ha Nursery School in Van Yen District, saw the participation of DTiNews editor-in-chief Pham Huy Hoan; Ngo Thi Chinh, chairwoman of Yen Bai Province’s Study Promotion Association; Ha Thi Minh Ly, deputy head of Yen Bai Province’s Department of Education and Training and Kondoh Hiroaki, chairman of Nagoya Taiko Lions Club.

Chau Que Ha Nursery School is located in eight different places in Chau Que Ha Commune’s villages. Many classrooms of the school have been seriously deteriorated, particularly those in Ngoc Chau Village.

For many years, more than 100 children in Ngoc Chau Village had to temporarily learn at the village’s culture house to learn due to the deterioration of the school. 

In August last year, through the OJT Joint Stock Company, Nagoya Taiko Lions Club came to Ngoc Chau Village to see the classroom condition. After that, the club agreed to fund construction of the two classrooms.

Speaking at the ground-breaking ceremony, Dantri/DTiNews editor-in-chief Pham Huy Hoan, said that over the past ten years, Dantri/DTiNews has helped to build 13 bridges and 17 classroom projects across the country and Ngoc Chau Village is home to the 18th classroom project of the newspaper.

Kondoh Hiroaki, chairman of Nagoya Taiko Lions Club, expressed his joy when the construction was started on the occasion to mark the 55th founding anniversary of the club. He hoped that the club would help Vietnam more as part of efforts to deepen the country’s relationship.

On this occasion, DTiNews editor-in-chief Pham Huy Hoan granted 10 scholarships worth VND500,000 (USD22.72) each for poor children at Chau Que Ha Nursery School.

Do Thu Trang, director of OJT Joint Stock Company, also presented 10 scholarships worth VND500,000 each for the children.

Another ten scholarships worth VND300,000 were also granted by Ngo Thi Chinh, chairman of Yen Bai Province’s Study Promotion Association to the school.

Members from Nagoya Taiko Lions Club also gave gifts to the school children.

Earlier, Dantri/DTiNews has also helped to build classrooms in Van Chan and Tran Yen districts in Yen Bai provinces.
