Ill couple struggle to take care of each other
An old couple in Danang City is calling for help as they are both fighting against cancer.
The local authorities helped them rent a low-cost apartment in Nai Hien Dong Ward in 2014. But two years later, Thanh was diagnosed with liver cancer and too weak to work as a motorbike driver.
They are given VND700,000 (USD28) monthly allowance for disabled people. Their daughter went to HCM City to find jobs and sends them VND3m (USD120) each month.
Tuyet recently fell and had to be admitted to the hospital so Thanh has to do all the housework and takes care of her.
"I know my daughter is living frugally and it's not easy for her. It's painful to take money from her. I also don't know how much longer I can live," Thanh said.

Thanh takes care of his wife at hospital
62-year-old Ha Phuc Thanh fought in Cambodia and married Bui Thi Bach Tuyet after returning to Vietnam. But when their daughter was 10 years old, Tuyet was diagnosed with breast cancer then in 2012, she had a stroke and was paralysed.
