Woman struggles to take care of ill family
A 50-year-old woman in Ninh Binh Province is calling for financial support to help treat her disabled husband and mentally-ill son.
"We sold everything and borrowed money to treat him, but doctors said he had schizophrenia," Chinh said.
In 2012, Chinh's husband fell from a scaffold while working at the construction site and was paralysed. Since then, his health got worse and Chinh has to shoulder everything.
As of now, the family has borrowed nearly VND300m (USD13,000) and doesn't know how to pay off the debt with Chinh's little incomes from the fields.

Chinh takes care of her son
Doan Thi Chinh's family is one of the poorest cases in the area. Chinh and her husband, Pham Van Tam, got married and have two children together. When their eldest son, Pham Van Tu, was in high school, one of his friends accidentally threw a stone at his head. At first, no one thought too much about the incident but Tu suddenly showed strange behaviour a short time after that."We sold everything and borrowed money to treat him, but doctors said he had schizophrenia," Chinh said.
