Mother in dire need of help after husband's death
A widow in Ha Nam Province is calling for financial support to help raise three small children after her husband died in a traffic accident and left behind a big debt.
"I don't have enough milk for my infant so I have to buy milk for him. One day two months ago, my husband said he would go out to take some milk given by a relative. But he was seriously injured in a traffic accident on the way home and then died," Bich said.
Bich's husband lost control after a puncture when driving and crashed into a tree. He was transferred to Bach Mai Hospital in Hanoi but died one month later. Bich borrowed a lot of money to pay hospital charges during this time and doesn't have any way to repay the debts now.
According to the neighbours, Bich nearly fainted when the funeral was held. Their oldest child is seven years old and the youngest is only seven months old. Her young children are still too small to understand that her father had gone forever.
"It's very tough for her. The two oldest children can play on their own, but the youngest son is too small. When Bich had to cook or work, he was left alone in the house and cried his eyes out," said one of Bich's neighbours.
