South Korean doctors offer free cleft palate surgery for Vietnamese children

Surgeons from the South Korea and Hanoi provided free surgery for hundreds of children with cleft palates in the five central provinces from July 13-19.



Doctors doctors offer medical check-ups for 200 children from low-income families in five provinces including Nghe An, Ha Tinh, Thanh Hoa, Quang Tri, and Quang Binh on July 13 and 14

The event is co-organised by the Operation Smile Organisation and Nghe An-based Vinh International Hospital, and the Hanoi-based 108 Hospital.

On the occasion, doctors will offer medical check-ups for 200 children from low-income families in five provinces including Nghe An, Ha Tinh, Thanh Hoa, Quang Tri, and Quang Binh. Then 100 children will be selected for surgeries which will start from July 15.




According to the Vinh International Hospital, many good doctors and experts from South Korea and Hanoi will join in this charity event which is estimated to cost hundreds of VND.


To date, more than 100 children in the central and Central Highlands regions have benefited from the programme.
