Cancer wife calls for help for ill husband
An elderly couple in Nam Dinh Province are in desperate need of financial support to treat diseases.
His wife has lung cancer and her tumour already spread. Her belly swelled up and the pain prevents her from moving around. Because of poverty, she refused the treatment and decided to stay home.
"I know I don't have much time. I'll see my children soon. I just hope that after I die, my husband can still go to the hospital or else he will die too," Tich said. "Only when I know that he'll be treated that I can die in peace."
Vu Thi Nhu Hoa, chairwoman of Nghia Lam Women Union said they had tried to call for donation for the couple. "We hope the community will help them overcome this difficult time," said Nguyen Van Chien, head of Village 8A.
