Sang and his siter

Ly was the eldest in the three-child family. She has been living with polio since she was just three years old.

Sang said that his father died 40 years ago and his mother also passed away in 2006, leaving Ly behind alone. Since then, he decided to take her to his home.

Ly’s condition has worsened over recent years, leaving her bed-ridden. So, Sang has to carry her to the toilet and helps her to bathe.

Sang’s family is very poor as he is disabled and his wife is often sick. Their income mostly depends on farming.

Sang and Ly have a monthly modest subsidy. Due to the financial hardship, Ly has not yet been taken to hospital for the treatment.
