Nguyen Thi Hoa and her children
Nguyen Thi Hoa and her children live in a small house in Dong Phong Village, Thuong Loc Commune. Hoa and her husband have four children together. Hoa has Parkinson while her husband, Tran Van Nam, had epilepsy. Their oldest child is in 5th grade and the youngest is four years old.Nam was the main breadwinner of the family and he did every job he could find from laying bricks to searching for snails. On January 13, Nam suddenly had a seizure and fell into a ditch. When the neighbours arrived, he was already dead.
Hoa is still in shock at her husband's death and has to lie in bed while four children are too small to do anything. As Tet is near, the family is in mourning. The children have to wear old clothes because their mother is not stable enough to take care of the family.

"We were able to raise some money for them but it was only enough to pay for the funeral and previous debts. We want to help them to have a warmer Tet after the death of their father," he said. "I know everyone is busy now but the children need help from the community to have a proper Tet and to continue studying in the future."
Hoa also needs financial support to go to the hospital.
