Ill woman call for help for grandson
An old woman in Hai Duong Province is in desperate need of help to treat illnesses and raise her small grandson.
Nguyen Cong Trung, head of Nhuan Tay Village, said, "Lan constantly has to go to the hospital. Over a year ago, she had to sell her house so the relatives let them stay in the family's ancestral house. She has just returned from the hospital after being treated for gastric perforation, septic shock, and pneumonia. Everyone thought that she might die."
Lan's son and daughter-in-law already separated and left home without contact. Lan has to take care of her grandson alone.
"I only worry about my grandson. Please help him so I can die in peace," Lan said.
Duc said Lan was the only one he depends on since small. When Lan was healthier, she told him to study hard to overcome poverty. Lan is now too weak and can only eat porridge.
