Nguyen Thi Hanh, 17, and his 10-year-old brother Nguyen Dinh Huu Phuc are facing a very difficult situation when their mother Nguyen Thi Hanh died two years ago and their father, Nguyen Dinh Thin, died one week ago.

The two children in dire need of help

Their house has nothing valuable and all they have is rice left.

Nguyen Thi Binh, the children’s aunt, said Hanh suffered from a stroke in 2018 and died when she was working in HCM City.

At the end of last year, Thin was diagnosed with nasopharynx cancer and also died at the age of 55 more than one month later.

More sadly, Phuc has been living with Thalassemia from birth. It takes the family around VND10 million for dialysis per month.

Phuc’s condition has recently worsened, causing him great pain.

Hanh said that she plans to quit school to work to support the family.
