100 scholarships given to Ninh Binh students
One hundred outstanding students from low-income families in the northern province of Ninh Binh have just been given scholarships by the Vietnam Study Promotion Fund and Dantri/Dtinews Online Newspaper.
One hundred outstanding students from low-income families in the northern province of Ninh Binh are given scholarships by the Vietnam Study Promotion Fund and Dantri/Dtinews Online Newspaper on February 21.
The scholarships worth VND700,000 each were sourced from the annual charity golf tournament Swing for the Kids 2020.
Besides sending VND300 million to support children in Ninh Binh, the organising board of the Swing for the Kids 2020 have also sent VND 1 billion to Dantri to help students in the central region who were hit by the historic storms and floods late last year.
On February 2, the Vietnam Study Promotion Fund and Dantri/Dtinews Online Newspaper also gave 70 scholarships worth VND1 million each to students at Thanh Thuy Secondary School in the central Nghe An Province.
Over the past 14 years, the annual charity golf tournament Swing for the Kids have supported thousands of Vietnamese students from low-income families and poor and remote areas nationwide. Many schools have also been built from donations from the organisers.
