The two children Nguyen Chi Hao, 10, and Nguyen Ngoc Yen, 8, are now living with their 62-year-old paternal grandmother in Ba Tri District’s An Thuy District. Their father died five years ago and their mother left home just a short time later.

Vo Thi Tham from An Thuy Commune’s Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs Board, said that two donors had pledged to sponsor the two children with VND2.5 million a month until they are 18 years old.
