Hau's condition has worsened 

She has had the tumour since 2002 when she was pregnant with her second child. She did not use any medicines because of the pregnancy. In 2003 after giving birth, the tumour became bigger, but she did not go to hospital due to financial difficulties.

In 2019, the tumour started severely distorting her face, bringing great pain. Hau’s husband took loans from different sources to bring her to Hanoi for treatment. However, at that time her son, Ta Hong Thai who was born in 2003 began displaying similar symptoms to his mother’s disease. So, Hau delayed her treatment to prioritise her son’s surgery.

To date, the family has incurred debts of VND300 million following the son's treatment. Hau is in desperate need of urgent treatment, but she can’t afford it.

Currently, Hau has to use tranquillizers and painkillers to ease the pain.

Doctor Dang Trieu Hung from Hanoi Medical University Hospital said that the late treatment has worsened Hau’s condition, causing her face to be distorted. This is a rare case. She needs surgery which costs between VND200-250 million.
