German coach Falko Goetz is most likely to be the head coach of Vietnam’s national football squad.

Goetz and the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) have basically agreed to sign a two-year contract.

As scheduled, the German coach and his solicitor Hinner Janzem, will arrive in Hanoi for a final round of negotiations before signing the contract.

According to VFF General Secretary Tran Quoc Tuan, draft contracts were sent to candidates in VFF’s final selection round but they have not been signed by the relevant parties.

Andrea Milz, Goetz’s representative, said that both sides have so far resolved all issues related to the contract.

Goetz is willing to sign the two-year contract with VFF, said Milz, adding that he is a talented coach who has great experience in working with young footballers.
