Festival honouring national culture concludes

A
four-day festival entitled ‘Spring honouring nation’s culture’ closed
with a special art performance at Hanoi’s Bao Son Paradise Park on April
9.
At the closing ceremony, Nguyen Thanh Tu from the Institute of
Journalism and Communication, who was in the top ten beauties of an
online photogenic contest named Ms AdAsia 2013, received the ‘Kindness
Ambassador’ title from the VJA. Tu
will take part in several charity activities held by the VJA in the
future.
The performance, ‘Spring Aspiration’, saw the participation of professional artists and famous singers.
Present at the closing ceremony were Politburo member and National Assembly Vice Chairwoman Tong Thi Phong, Members of the Party Central Committee, Thuan Huu, who is also Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper and Chairman of the c(VJA), and Hoang Tuan Anh, Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism, together with representatives from central and Hanoi’s agencies.
The performance, ‘Spring Aspiration’, saw the participation of professional artists and famous singers from the UNESCO Centre for Culture and Art, Phu Tho province’s Cheo Art Troupe, Bac Ninh Quan ho (love duets) folk singing, the Vietnam National Music and Dance Theatre and the Vietnam National Opera Ballet Theatre.

The festival was organised by the VJA, the Vietnam Association of Small and Medium Enterprises, the Vietnam Advertising Association, the Vietnam Craft Villages' Association, the Vietnam Co-operative Alliance and several other social and professional organisations.
According to the organising board, the festival will be held each year from now on, with the money collected from tickets and sponsors going to the VJA’s Kindness Fund to support disadvantaged children nationwide.
