The announcement was made by the Vietnam Puppetry Theatre at a press conference in Hanoi on November 18.

With the traditional folk melody of Vietnam and puppets made from traditional material such as rattan and bamboo, ‘The Melody of Homeland’ performance is considered a special performance, reflecting the daily life of Vietnamese famers.

The show was performed by artists from the Vietnam Puppetry Theatre, including People’s Artist Thuy Trang, Meritorious Artist Tien Dung, Kim Thoa, Thu Hoan, The Long, The Hien, Ngoc Triu and Thu Huong.

The grand prize honour marks the first award for Vietnam puppetry at the international puppet festival.
