French Vietnamese businesswoman became tourism ambassador

The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has designated Anoa Suzanne Dussol Perran, President and CEO of An Hoa Tourism Company as tourism ambassador to France.

 

 Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Vuong Duy Bien (right) congratulated Anoa Suzanne Dussol Perran when she was appointed Vietnam tourism ambassador to France.

Anoa, 58, will serve in the post until October 2018.

At a meeting held yesterday in Hanoi, Anoa was awarded a medal for her great contributions to the local tourism industry.

Anoa moved to France at the age of four. During her time in the country, she had been successful in a variety of fields - design, home interior decoration, real estate and aviation services.

In 1992, after 35 years in France, Anoa returned to Vietnam to work on the upgrading of the Metropole Hotel in Hanoi. In 1993, she became the first woman to fly 13,000 km on a helicopter from France to Vietnam to seek opportunities to open flight services for tourists in the country.

She also owns the luxury tourist An Hoa Residence in Ba Ria-Vung Tau province.

“I've tried my best to show my love for Vietnam," Anoa said. "I've just set up a Vietnamese House in France in order to introduce Vietnamese culture to international friends."
