The film crew for Kong: Skull Island which will star Tom Hiddleston and Samuel L. Jackson arrived in Quang Binh Province on February 22 for shooting at Phong Nha Cave.
The crew was welcomed by local authorities and fans at Dong Hoi Airport at 9.30am. After parting from the airport, they headed to locations at Phong Nha Cave and then continued on to Cha Noi Valley, Yen Phu Lake and Chuot Cave.
Ho An Phong, director of Quang Binh Culture, Sports and Tourism, said director Jordan Vogt Robert and the crew would stay in the province from February 22 to 27. To further promote the local tourism industry, the authorities said they would display the sculptures of film characters in front of several destinations including Tu Lan Cave System after the shooting.
"We have proposed that we keep some of the props and scenery from the shoot, including the tail of the plane that would be used during the scenes at Chuot Cave, part of Tu Lan Cave System," Phong said.
The crew arrived in Vietnam yesterday in Hanoi. A press conference was held at Sofitel Legend Metropole to introduce the crew and filming schedule.
