Ministry orders to suspend festivals as new Covid-19 cases emerge
The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has asked local authorities to suspend all festivals and limit other cultural, sporting and tourism activities to focus on Covid-19 preventive measures.
Local authorities were asked to suspend all festivals and limit the number of cultural, sports and tourism activities. They were also asked to carry out inspection more frequently and deal with violators. The management boards of historical sites, museums and tourist sites must make sure to implement all required measures.
Public awareness campaigns should be regularly run. Hanoi, HCM City and several cities have ordered to close nightclubs and karaoke bars. Dong Hoi City also suspended many events that were intended to take place during its Culture-Tourism Week.
