Ha announced the information in a status on her Facebook on December 22. She said that her health condition was now stable. She hoped to get well soon to return home.

The final round of Miss World 2021 was scheduled to take place on December 16 in Puerto Rico, but it was then delayed until March 16 next year after many candidates and the organising board members had tested positive for Covid-19. Ha had flown to the US and was waiting to return to Vietnam.
Do Thi Ha, 20, was born in Thanh Hoa province and is a student of the Hanoi National Economics University.
She has competed with around 120 contestants from across the world in various sub-contests at Miss World 2021, including sports, talent, and fashion.
She was named in the list of 13 finalists in the Top Model competition on December 7.
