Huynh Tran Y Nhi, 22, from Binh Dinh province will vie for the Miss World crown. She stands at 1.75 metres tall with body measurement of 79-59-89 and is now studying in Australia.
Last year she was crowned Miss World Vietnam 2023 after outshining 39 other beauties. She also won the “Miss Fashion” sub-title at the contest.
On the official page of Miss World, it wrote, “Huynh Tran Y Nhi is Miss World Vietnam at the 72nd Miss World Festival. She majored in business administration at Ho Chi Minh City International University and is currently studying at the University of Sydney, Australia.”
She’s currently getting ready to compete in Miss World, which is due to take place early next year, it unveiled.
In recent years, Vietnamese representatives have won several prizes at the Miss World pageant. Indeed, Luong Thuy Linh reached the Top 12 in 2019 and Do Thi Ha was placed among the top 13 finalists in 2021.
Miss World 2024 will be the 72nd edition of the pageant, with 37 contestants worldwide having registered to compete in the event.
Meanwhile, the official page of Miss International has updated a status, “Huynh Thi Thanh Thuy is Vietnam's official representative at Miss International 2024! This is the first time that the reigning Miss Vietnam will be representing her dynamic country in Miss International!”
Huynh Thi Thanh Thuy, a 21-year-old student from Da Nang, was crowned the winner of the Miss Vietnam 2022 competition.
First launched in 1960, Miss International one of the four largest international beauty pageants, alongside Miss World, Miss Universe, and Miss Earth.
In previous editions, Vietnamese representatives won high prizes, including Pham Hong Thuy Van who finished as the third runner-up in 2015, Tuong San who was among the Top 8 in 2019, and Nguyen Phuong Nh who was a Top 15 finalist.
The grand finale of the Miss International 2024 pageant is scheduled to take place in Tokyo, Japan, on November 12.
