This was the first contract Le Hung Dung signed with a foreign coach since he was appointed VFF Chairman two days ago.

Dung said Vietnam’s futsal squad is expected to reach the semi-finals of the 2014 Asia Futsal Tournament, scheduled for HCM City from April 30 to May 10.

Coach Bruno said Vietnamese futsal players are fit and have good professional skills. However, they need to improve their tactics to claim victory. “We need time to hone skills and gain experience to compete at continental tourneys,” he added.

After signing a 3yr +contract with VFF, Bruno announced plans to convene the national futsal team at Thai Son Nam competition hall in HCM City and then fly to Spain for training on April 9 to play in friendly matches with Spanish teams.

Coach Bruno has gained many achievements in futsal training. He successfully led the national teams of Peru, China, and Spain to victory at European and world competitions. In 2012, Bruno was awarded Ramon Cobo – the prize for Spain’s most outstanding futsal coach.
