Hanoi street ban for Vietnam-Thailand World Cup qualifier

Hanoi Police Department have announced a vehicle ban on many local streets for Vietnam-Thailand football match in the second round of the 2022 World Cup Asian qualifiers.

The match is slated to take place at My Dinh National Stadium in Hanoi at 8 pm today, November 19.

  

Many streets in Hanoi to be banned for Vietnam-Thailand football match tonight


From 2-10:30 pm today, trucks and coaches of over 16 seats will be prohibited from Duc Tho, Le Quang Dao, Me Tri, Chau Van Liem, Do Xuan Hop, Tran Huu Duc, Nguyen Co Thach, Nguyen Hoang, Ham Nghi, Tan My, Ho Tung Mau and Pham Hung near the stadium.

Meanwhile, vehicles will be restricted on the streets of Kim Ma, Dao Tan, Lieu Giai, Nguyen Khanh Toan, Nguyen Van Huyen, Hoang Quoc Viet, Pham Van Dong, Tran Duy Hung and Nguyen Chi Thanh streets from 5-7:30 pm and from 9-10:30 pm today.

People are encouraged to use public transport to the stadium and strictly obey traffic regulations.

According to the Hanoi police, during the ban, vehicles can take different routes. For instance, from National Highway 32 and Thang Long Avenue or from National Highway 32, Road 70 and Pham Hung Street to the city centre.
