Under the baton of conductor Kim Xuan Hieu.

After the Pavane op. 50 in F sharp minor of the French composer Gabriel Fauré, the VNSO Orchestra will perform the concerto in C minor for Trumpet by Benedetto Giacomo Marcello, Launy Grondahl’s concerto for trombone, and the Symphony No. 1 in D major, D.82 that Franz Schubert composed when he was only 16 years old.

Hanoi-Painting Exhibition on Deaf Culture: “Listen by Eye 2”

Painting exhibition “Listen by Eye 2” 2017 follows up the film project “Listen by Eye” made by the Deaf in Vietnam in 2016. It is intended to share the life, learning, family relationships, language and the thoughts of deaf people.

“Manga Hokusai Manga” approaches the Hokusai Manga from the perspective of contemporary Japanese comics, focusing on genre, pictorial storytelling and participatory culture rather than the integration of word and image or the role of popular characters. Rather than aiming at a historiographic verification of influences, the exhibition invites viewers to ponder their own notions about manga by comparing works from different periods while exploring the diversity therein.
