Rare trapped chamois in Quang Nam rescued
The forest management task force in the central province of Quang Nam has rescued a rare chamois.
The chamois was found trapped in a forest in Dong Giang District’s Ta Lu Commune. The animal’s left hind leg was tightly bound by steel wire. It had struggled to free itself to no avail.
The task force quickly rescued the chamois and released it into the wild.
The chamois is listed in Group IB of Decree 6 on managing endangered, precious, and rare forest plants and animals and enforcing the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES).
