Vietnam treasures comprehensive strategic partnership with China
Vietnam always places great importance on developing the ties of friendship and neighborliness and comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership with China, Foreign Minister Bui Thanh Son has said.

During his telephone talks on September 14 with Lu Xinshe, Secretary of the Party Committee of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region (China), FM Son affirmed Vietnamese ministries, sectors and localities’ readiness to step up friendly cooperation with Guangxi.
The Vietnamese diplomat congratulated Guangxi on its major achievements in recent years, especially in pandemic prevention and control and maintenance of socio-economic development momentum, and successful organization of the 18th China-ASEAN Expo (CAEXPO).
He thanked Guangxi for its decision to provide Vietnam with 800,000 doses of the SinoPharm vaccine and many medical equipment and supplies for pandemic prevention and control.
Regarding cooperation in the time ahead, Son suggested the two sides maintain exchanges and meetings at all levels in a flexible form, strengthen the sharing of information about policies related to pandemic prevention and control, and coordinate in pandemic containment in border areas.
This should be done along with taking effective measures to maintain the growth momentum of economic - trade ties in order to create favorable conditions for Vietnamese goods, especially agricultural and aquatic products to gain entry into the Chinese market, he stated.
Son underlined the need to avoid disruption of trade, and supply and logistics chains, coordinate well in border area management, speed up the construction of border gate infrastructure connections, soon complete internal procedures for upgrading border gates, and promptly handle arising problems satisfactorily.
In response, Lu Xinshe affirmed that Guangxi highly appreciates the good development momentum of China-Vietnam relations as well as achievements in the friendly cooperation between Guangxi and Vietnamese ministries, sectors and localities over the past time.
Guangxi will make greater efforts to improve the efficiency of customs clearance of goods at railway and road border gates, thereby facilitating imports of Vietnamese products, especially agricultural products into Guangxi and through Guangxi going deeper into other inland provinces of China and to Central Asia, the Chinese official told Son.
In the coming time, Guangxi will well realize the common perception of both nations' senior leaders regarding the promotion of friendship exchanges and substantive cooperation with Vietnamese localities, especially those in border areas as a contribution to consolidating the China-Vietnam comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership, he added.
