State leaders pay tribute to President Ho Chi Minh ahead of Reunification Day

A delegation of the Communist Party of Vietnam, state, National Assembly (NA), government, and the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) came to pay tribute and lay wreaths at the President Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum in Hanoi on April 28 on the occasion of the 48th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975).




The delegation including State President Vo Van Thuong, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee Do Van Chien, paid tribute to the late president, and then offered incense at the Martyrs’ Monument in Bac Son Street.



Former Party General Secretary Nong Duc Manh, former State President Nguyen Xuan Phuc, former NA Chairman Nguyen Van An, former NA Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung and other officials joined the delegations.



The same day, a delegation of officials from the Ministry of Defence, Ministry of Public Security, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Hanoi Party and People’s Council, People’s Committee and VFF Committee also paid tribute to President Ho Chi Minh at the mausoleum, and martyrs’ monument.
