Dantri/Dtinews Newspaper and Giao Hang Tiet Kiem Company start construction of a new school project in one of the poorest communes in the central province of Nghe An on April 17.

Tri Le 4 Primary School which lies in a remote area in the mountainous district of Que Phong only has some wooden board classrooms built by teachers and parents. There are no toilets or other functional rooms and the area has no access to electricity, wifi, or tap water. The school also has no female teaching staff.

Vice headmaster of the school, Tho Ba Sinh, said that the school currently has 15 classes of 283 students. However, only six classes with 124 students study at the site while the other pupils learn at two other locations due to the difficult roads and a lack of facilities.

The teacher said that most of the people in the area are from the H'mong ethnic group and their lives are very difficult.

The ground breaking ceremony for the construction of two new classrooms was held on April 17.

Speaking at the ceremony, a Giao Hang Tiet Kiem Company representative, Han Thi Thuy, said that they were happy to help provide better facilities for teachers and students at the school.

At the event, Dantri's Deputy Editor-in-Chief Nguyen Xuan Toan sent his sincere thanks to Giao Hang Tiet Kiem Company for having joined with the newspaper to carry out two school projects so far this year.

Attending the ceremony, vice chairman of Que Phong District People's Committee, Bui Van Hien, sent his sincere thanks to Dantri Newspaper and Giao Hang Tiet Kiem Company for helping build new classrooms at Tri Le School.

"The school lies in a poor area with all people from the H'mong ethnic group and they can’t afford proper facilities," the official said. "We're very happy to see that the poor students are going to have new classrooms in the new school year. Thank you so much for your valuable support."
