Another cold spell is forecast to hit the northern region on Wednesday, with Hanoi's temperature set to fall to 14 degrees Celsius.

According to the National Centre for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, the temperature will drop to 6-9 degrees Celsius in many northern mountainous areas and between 14-16 degrees Celsius in Hanoi.

Hanoi's temperature set to fall to 14 degrees Celsius from December 7.

These temperature levels will remain for three days, with the worst effects mainly being felt in the morning and evening.

From now to December 8, central localities from Ha Tinh to Binh Dinh will continue experiencing heavy rains, posing the risk of floods.

Many areas in Quang Ngai and Binh Dinh are also likely to face landslides and flash flood.

Many districts in the central province of Quang Ngai, including Ba To, Minh Long, Tu Nghia and Binh Son, are still facing serious flooding due to torrential rains over recent days.
