Municipal authorities will focus on mitigating congestion at areas such as Lang Cha Ca, Hoang Van Thu-Nguyen Van Troi-Phan Dinh Giot junction and Truong Son intersection. Congestion hotspots need to be tackled as soon as possible, said Tran Quang Lam, director of the city’s Department of Transport.

Pavement encroachment and illegally parking areas will be seriously fined.

The Transport Department have halted licensing repair works on roads leading to the airport, except for urgent cases, from 6 am to 10 pm.

Saigon River Tunnel Management Centre has been assigned to check the camera system to detect possible congestion, traffic accidents or illegal parking.

Traffic regulation has been urged for key areas at the airport such as terminals and parking lots.

Flight information will be posted on HCM City’s transport portal available at giaothong.hochiminhcity.gov.vn for people to conveniently update.

Local people have been asked to co-operate with the airport to help ensure order.
