Sony drops 3D line on Vietnam market

Sony presented its wide range of 3D compatible products and contents to Vietnamese users on October 5.

To confirm their “unique position in 3D”, Sony Corporation launched its “3D world” which included the 3D compatible Bravia TV, Cyber-shot and Alpha DSLR/NEX with 3D Sweep Panorama feature, Blu-ray 3D™ playback compatible Theater Stand System, and 3D compatible "PlayStation®3" games to Vietnam market.

Titled "Sony 3D world for Vietnamese people", the product-launching ceremony exhibited various 3D products and its supporting technologies provided by Sony ranging from the “Lens to the Living Room” including content creation. It also introduced a variety of ways for local customers to enjoy 3D movies, music videos, games, and photographs.

The most impressive product is its vivid 3D compatible Bravia TV with LED backlight. Sony has connected the product with Blu-ray 3D™ playback compatible Blu-ray Disc Recorder/Player and 3D Theater Stand System, which it hopes will bring a full and thrilling home theatre experience to local customers.

For those who love photography, "Cyber-shot" and Alpha DSLR/NEX with 3D Sweep Panorama features will provide new ways of enjoying personal 3D content.

Meanwhile, game addicts can now enjoy stereoscopic 3D compatible "PlayStation®3" games. Moreover, the personal computer "VAIO" 3D compatible prototype was also introduced.

Speaking at the launching, Yuzo Otsuki, general director of Sony Electronics Vietnam revealed, “As Vietnamese people are celebrating the 1,000th birthday of their capital, and especially with the special Tet festival approaching, we would like to take this opportunity to introduce our latest products so that you can have more memorable time beside your relatives and friends.”
