The additional fights will help to provide a total of 1.2 million seats.
Among those, national flag carrier Vietnam Airlines will increase 2,000 flights; meanwhile budget airlines VietJet Air will add 3,500 flights and Jetstar Pacific will conduct 300 more flights. The flights are mostly domestic services.

Vietnam Airlines and Jetstar Pacific will focus on offering more flights on high demand routes, including Hanoi-HCM City/Phu Quoc; HCM City-Danang/Haiphong/Thanh Hoa/Vinh/Hue/Quang Nam/Quy Nhon/Da Lat.
To date, tickets on many air routes from HCM City to Thanh Hoa and Haiphong have been mostly sold out.
Vietnam Airlines and Jetstar Pacific have advised passengers to buy tickets at their official agents to avoid fake ones or tickets with higher prices than regulated. Besides, to save time, passengers should complete check-in procedures via the airlines’ website.
Budget airline Jetstar Pacific will also open the air route from Hanoi to the Mekong Delta city of Can Tho for demand in the run-up to the Lunar New Year.
