Pho De Paris building

He is referred to as "The Genie". Approaching Cu on Pham Ngu Lao Road, District 1, in Ho Chi Minh City at the end of 2009, he was quite busy. He was in a hurry to finish upgrading a building at District 6 before Tet. He has done 40 renovations in total.

He was a student of law but feels it's his destiny when he engages in construction and calculation jobs.

After Vietnam was reunified, he moved to the South and worked for a famous construction company as an HR manager.

He often visited construction sites and to better understand the methods and techniques of renovating a house or fixing leaning and sinking structures.

Cu has cumulated experience step by step and knows very well how to apply these techniques in an effective and logical manner.

In September 2004, he established his own company in Binh Tan District, Ho Chi Minh City and applies new techniques which he discovered to fix leaning and sinking structures.

At that time, there were 3 leaning houses next to each other in District 6. He went to talk with the owners and they agreed to allow him to fix the properties. He and his workers broke the floors and strengthened the foundation however, the 3 houses were still stuck together. After several nights without sleep, Cu finally figured out a way to separate the houses. He managed to apply his idea, separate the houses, and fix them to stand upright.

Another construction project was lifting 6 houses which weighed 3,000 tonnes up by 1 metre at Hamlet 2, Binh Hung Commune, Binh Chanh.

The Pho De Paris building was cracked and sinking. Its owner planned to destroy it but when he heard about a Vietnamese man known as "The Genie" he invited him to fix it.

After 5 site checks, Cu agreed to fix it. He brought 10 Vietnamese workers to go with him to Cambodia. After 5 months, he has successfully restored the structure.

After completion, many officials from the Ministry of Construction in Cambodia, and the owner, inspected the completed project. They were completely satisfied with the results. They were very happy because it saved both money and time.

Cu is very proud of what he has accomplished as well as his track record, he hasn't received a single complaint from his customers.
