Two Vietnamese students from the Vietnam National Academy of Music (VNAM) have gloried in the Val Tidone International Music Competition in Italy.

Nguyen Dang Quang topped Group B for under 15-year old competitors and Pham Quang Huy was placed second at Group C for under 19-year old contestants.

This was the third time the VNAM had sent its students to such an event and Associated professor and doctor Luu Quang Minh was invited as a member of the jury.

This year’s competition drew 128 contestants to piano and accordeon and 39 groups to chamber concert performance.
